A staple of British culture. You knew he and his show was good because often when it was on you never actually realised. It was there, in the background, just like furniture is. His show always reminds me of my mum god rest her soul) as she loved him.

I was reading an article about him and had some recent photos, fuck me he had let himself go? remember him a skinny bloke with glasses, well not anymore, double chin and huge gut, looked like a heart attack waiting to happen which i would suspect is what has happened given how sudden it was.
Still sad, and remember him well, as kids we used to be always quoting stuff off his show, Mr Angry, get some therapy etc.

Not really a big fan of his shows but still a shame he has passed away for those who did enjoy them and of course his loved ones.
Definitely came out of the blue this one.

Sad news, was a bit of a legend. His popular afternoon show immediately transports you back to less complicated and in most cases better times. Seems to have come out the blue, and no news of what happened to him which seems to be par for the course these days.
RIP.

Terrible news, Steve was right at the top of his game for many years, and you couldn't help laughing along when he had all his 'crew' in the studio with him. Old Lady, Sid the Manager, Mr Mad... a whole array of characters we will never forget. Gone WAY too soon. RIP Steve.
